For a great wedding day photography experience, I usually look for the following or ask the couple to get some things ready:
An eight-hour package is enough to cover getting ready until the open dancing. Additional hours are needed if there is something special like tea ceremony or a wedding with more than two venues.
The bride should prepare details (rings, flowers, jewelry, wedding gown, perfume, shoes, and anything else important, etc.) to give to the photographer right at the start of coverage. This will help in doing the flat lay. The groom can prepare shoes, watch, cologne, buttoniere, and any other special details to be handed to the photographer.
Timeline is a must especially when you want to make good use of time and have a stress-free wedding experience.
Prepare a shot list to be handed out to the photographer. The shot list should include all the shots you want, especially family formals where you have the names of your relatives and friends spelled out.
Make note of anything special that you want captured.
